1. About this policy
This policy explains what information PopMaker Pro ("we", "us") collects when you visit popmakerpro.com, create an account, or use our popup builder, website chat and related tools (the "Service"), and what we do with it.
It also covers white-label versions of the Service that agencies offer to their own clients under their own brand. If you use the Service through an agency, that agency may have its own privacy policy as well.
2. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Account details: your name, email address and password (stored only as a secure hash), and anything you add to your profile, such as your company, phone number, website, business email, address, time zone and profile photo.
- Your content: the popups, templates, images, websites, chatbot settings, questions and answers, and messages you create or upload.
- Messages to us: what you send us through our contact form, website chat, in-app messages or email.
- Connected services: if you connect tools like GoHighLevel, Twilio, Zapier, webhooks or your own AI key, we store the details needed to connect them. Access tokens and keys are stored encrypted.
Payment information
Pro subscriptions are paid through PayPal. We never see or store your card or bank details. PayPal tells us your subscription ID and whether the subscription is active, and we keep a record of that.
Information collected automatically
- Usage of our site: we use Google Analytics to understand how people find and use popmakerpro.com (pages visited, device and browser type, approximate location, and how you arrived). We don't send your sign-in details to Google Analytics.
- Technical data: like most websites, our hosting providers receive your IP address and browser information when you connect. We use a one-way scrambled (hashed) version of IP addresses to stop spam and abuse in the chat.
3. Your website visitors' information
When you put our popups or chat bubble on your website, they collect information from your visitors on your behalf:
- What visitors type into your popup forms (for example their name, email or phone number).
- Chat messages, and a name and email if the visitor chooses to leave them.
- Anonymous counts of popup views and clicks, used for your statistics.
For this information, you decide what to collect and why, and we process it for you to provide the Service. You are responsible for telling your visitors how you use their information (for example in your own privacy policy) and for having the right to collect it, including any consent required by the laws that apply to you.
If you are a visitor to a website that uses PopMaker Pro and you have a question about your information, please contact that website's owner first. You can also write to us and we'll help where we can.
4. How we use information
- To run the Service: saving your work, showing your popups and chat on your websites, and showing your leads and statistics.
- To send the emails the Service is built around, such as new lead alerts, chat notifications, replies to your visitors, and account and billing messages.
- To answer chat messages automatically when you turn on automatic replies (see "Who we share it with").
- To provide support and reply to your messages.
- To keep the Service safe: preventing spam, abuse and fraud, and fixing problems.
- To understand how the Service is used so we can improve it.
- To tell you about important changes. We only send marketing emails if you've agreed to receive them, and you can opt out at any time.
We do not sell your information or your visitors' information.
5. Who we share it with
We share information only with the companies that help us run the Service, and only what they need to do their job:
- Supabase: hosting of our database, file storage and server functions (United States).
- GitHub Pages: hosting of our website files.
- Resend: sending and receiving email.
- PayPal: processing Pro subscriptions.
- Anthropic: when automatic AI replies are turned on, chat messages and the business information you provide are sent to Anthropic's AI service to write a reply.
- Google Analytics: website usage statistics for popmakerpro.com.
- Services you connect yourself, such as GoHighLevel, Twilio, Zapier or your own webhook. We send them the information you choose to send, for example new leads or messages.
If you use the Service through a white-label agency, that agency can see and manage your account and content. We may also share information if the law requires it, to protect people's safety or our rights, or as part of a sale or merger of our business (in which case this policy would continue to apply).
Some of these companies are based outside your country, including in the United States, so your information may be stored and processed there.
6. Cookies and browser storage
- Signing in: we store a sign-in session in your browser so you stay logged in.
- Popups on websites: the popup code remembers in the visitor's browser whether a popup was already closed or completed, so it isn't shown again too often.
- Website chat: the chat keeps a random code in the visitor's browser so the conversation is still there if they come back.
- Google Analytics sets cookies on popmakerpro.com. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or use Google's opt-out add-on.
7. How long we keep it
We keep your account information and content for as long as your account is open. You can delete popups, leads, websites and chat conversations yourself at any time. When an account is deleted, we delete or anonymize its information within a reasonable time, except where we need to keep some records (such as billing records) to meet legal obligations or resolve disputes.
8. Security
We use encrypted connections (HTTPS), store passwords as secure hashes, encrypt the access tokens of connected services, and limit access so each account can only see its own information. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and will let you know if a breach affects you as required by law.
9. Your choices and rights
You can view and update most of your information in your account settings. You can also ask us to:
- give you a copy of your information;
- correct information that is wrong;
- delete your account and information;
- stop using your information for a particular purpose, such as marketing.
Depending on where you live, laws such as the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012, the GDPR or US state privacy laws may give you these and other rights. To use them, email us at hello@popmakerpro.com. We may need to confirm your identity before we act, and we'll reply within the time the law allows. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
10. Children
The Service is for businesses and is not meant for anyone under 18. We don't knowingly collect information from children. If you think a child has given us their information, contact us and we'll delete it.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the Service changes. We'll change the date at the top, and if the changes are important we'll let you know by email or in the app before they take effect.
